Power unit for diode laser devicesDIODE POWER
The power source of diode laser hair removal devices. It drives the laser module with a constant current, and the current level is set from your device controller.

Product capability
Power electronics engineered for system integration.
It drives the diode laser with a constant current.
The optical power of a diode laser follows the current through it. ECP-DIODE-01 holds that current steady even as the module heats up; the level is set with a 0-5 V analog signal or PWM from the device controller.
The driver board and power stage with the lid removed. The heatsink block sits directly in the airflow.

Connections and terminals
How does it connect to the system?
Every connection is gathered on a single panel. Labelling sits directly on the enclosure, which reduces the risk of miswiring in the field.
12345- Mains input (E / L / N)200-240 V AC supply. Protective earth is mandatory for safe operation.
- VOUT−Negative DC output to the diode laser module. Cable must be rated for the operating current.
- VOUT+Positive DC output. Polarity is critical; reverse connection damages the diode module.
- Control interface10-pin interface carrying run PWM, start signal, 0-5 V current reference, GND and +12 V DC.
- VentilationAir-cooled enclosure. Inlet and outlet air paths must stay clear during installation.
Connection diagram
How does constant current reach the diode module?
Follow, step by step, where DIODE POWER sits inside your device. The numbers on the diagram match the terminals in the connection photograph above.

What ships with it
No external capacitor is used with this product.
DIODE POWER drives the laser module directly with constant current and needs no capacitor to store energy. That keeps in-device wiring and layout simpler.
- Capacitor
- Not required
- Energy architecture
- Continuous constant current
- In-device layout
- Only the unit and the laser module connection
For comparison: the IPL, EMS and ND-YAG products are supplied with a capacitor for pulse energy; DIODE POWER does not use that component.

Frequently asked
What buyers ask before integration
How is the laser current set?
The current level comes from your device's control board over the 10-pin interface, either as a 0-5 V analogue reference or as a PWM signal. A separate PWM input drives the operating pulse and works between 1 and 10 Hz. The unit's +12 V DC output can supply the control side.
Does the output current drop as the module heats up?
No. The unit runs in constant-current mode and adapts automatically to changes in load voltage; even as the diode module warms and its forward voltage shifts, the current stays at the set level. Response time to a setpoint change is under 1.5 ms.
Which model suits which laser module?
There are four configurations: DP-32V50A (32 V · 50 A · 600 W), DP-32V100A, DP-24V100A and DP-22V100A (all three 1200 W). The choice follows your diode module's rated voltage and operating current. Share the module datasheet and we will identify the right model with you.
Is there overcurrent protection?
Yes. The unit includes overcurrent and overtemperature protection. It is air cooled and operates between -10 and 45 °C, with insulation resistance above 20 MΩ. CE, EMC and LVD documentation is available.
